- 9x13 pan of baked brownies (boxed or homemade)
- 6-8 cups prepared chocolate mousse or whipped chocolate ganache
- 1 tub of whipped topping, thawed
- 1 bag toffee chips
Cut the pan of cooled, baked brownies into bite size pieces. You can use either a box mix of brownies or make homemade brownies for your Death by Chocolate dessert. Spread 1/3 of the brownie pieces in the bottom of the serving bowl.
Spoon 1/3 of the prepared mousse or whipped chocolate ganache over the brownie pieces. Spread it evenly over the brownies.
Spoon 1/3 of the whipped topping over the mousse or ganache. Spread evenly over the mousse.
Sprinkle 1/3 of the toffee chips evenly over the whipped topping. The first layer of your Death by Chocolate dessert is complete. Now you get to do it again!
Repeat the layers of brownie bites, mousse, whipped topping, and toffee chips 2 more times so that all of the ingredients are used. Sprinkle the last of the toffee chips over the top as a garnish. Enjoy your Death by Chocolate dessert!
Keep in mind :
Use a clear glass bowl so the layers of the Death by Chocolate dessert show through.
Chocolate pudding may be used in place of the mousse if preferred.
Chocolate chips, toasted coconut, nuts, or other garnishes may replace the toffee chips in the Death by Chocolate Dessert.
