Garlic Rosemary Marinated Lamb Chops !

This is dedicated to my Joshy Pooh! So you ask me how to make this, so this for you. By the way i love you josh!

What you need :

The direction :

1. Prepare fresh rosemary by removing leaves from the stem; chop leaves. Discard stems.
2. Combine fresh or dried rosemary with lemon zest, garlic paste, olive oil, sugar and salt and pepper to taste in a small bowl.
3. Rub lamb chops with marinade.
4. Marinate chops, covered, in refrigerator for 1 hour or overnight.
5. Preheat broiler.
6. Broil lamb chops on rack of broiler pan about 4 inches from heat for 3 to 4 minutes on each side for medium-rare meat, or 4 to 5 minutes on each side for well-done meat.
Keep in mind :
  • To zest a lemon, either grate the peel using a fine grater or take off strips of peel with a zestier or vegetable peeler, then mince finely. Take care to remove only the yellow peel of the lemon and not the bitter white pith.
  • To mash garlic, chop it roughly, and then pound in a mortar with a pinch of salt until you have a paste. If you don't have a mortar, sprinkle salt on the coarsely chopped clove, then chop finely. Use the side of the knife to press down and smear the garlic every once in a while as you chop it. The paste will be rougher, but it will work.

Did you know ?

Many people may say that fast food isn’t healthy for our body. But then again many can disagree with this. Sean Steward said “There’s no such thing as wrong food.” (http://www.best-quotes-poems.com/food-quotes) I must agree with this statement, because I feel as long as you exercise it shouldn’t matter what you do put in your body. In the words of Lucretius “what is food to one, is to others poison.”  (http://www.best-quotes-poems.com/food-quotes) This statement is also true. Most of us don’t look at the health risk when it comes to eating fast food. The result of these actions is obesity is skyrocketing. The top 10 fattest states in America are:
1. Mississippi
2. West Virginia
3. Alabama
4. Louisiana
5. South Carolina
6. Tennessee
7. Kentucky
8. Oklahoma
9. Arkansas
10. Michigan
With all these obese people in this country, this makes us the eighth fattest country in the world. Shockingly most of the people, who are obese today, are the kids of today. Statistics shows 20 years ago 14% of teens were overweight but now this number has triple. This entirely means now 42% of teens today are at greater risk of heart attacks, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol. “Man is what he eats”-Ludwig Feuerbach (http://www.best-quotes-poems.com/food-quotes) The statement goes hand and hand with the diet of America, because there is such a high percentage of obese people, it shows that if all they eat is fatting foods then they will eventually became fat.

What is food ?

Blog family,
What is food to you? Well to me food is everything and everywhere. The obvious reasons why I picked this topic is because I love to eat. I would say my favorite food is macaroni and cheese. What is yours? When I say food is everywhere I mean everywhere. It can be on your plate in front of you, in your garbage can, in your full stomach, or even at the store waiting for you to buy it and cook it! Also there is food all over the world. You could go to Thai land and find something you probably never taste before in your life. Or you could go to Spain and try something you thought you would never like .With this in mind, reading this blog you will learn about where food came from, how important food is to our daily lives, and lastly how to make certain foods. Well since you know why I love food, what is your reason? If you had a choice what do you prefer to learn when it comes to food? What are your top 10 favorite foods you like to eat? What is your all time, can’t live without favorite meal your parent made for you? How offend do you get to eat this meal? If I was to answer these questions I would say top 10 foods would be: 1. Macaroni and cheese, 2.ribs, 3.cupcakes, 4.chile, 5.chicken, 6.shrimp/crabs, 7.Chile Mac, 8.spagetti, 9.ice cream, 10.chocolate. My all time favorite meal my mom makes would have to be Chile Mac, this is because she doesn’t make it offend but when she does. I must say she puts her “foot” in it. Well until next time blog fam.
